First of all, Wordpress has been updated. I personally love the new version What does everyone else think? I’ve also updated all of the plugins that had new versions available. Everything should be working. A new layout is in the making but it may be a while before I get it up and running I’ll try to find time to finish it all before the month is over.

After numerous interviews, I finally received a job offer for doing something I think I’ll enjoy doing for the next few years I haven’t actually started working yet since I have to go through orientation and 3 or 4 training sessions beforehand. It’s another hospital position but it’s full-time and it comes with benefits. I decided that I would keep my previous job as well, which is at another hospital, and work there part-time and during the weekend. It’s definitely going to be tiring but I need the extra income to pay off student loans… and for this reason, I may not be able to update regularly, not that I do now anyway Sorry about that.

This is the first Saturday in a while where I was able to sleep in, I don’t feel like I get too many of those days anymore Once a day where I can sleep in comes, it seems very nice and relaxing. The only plans I have for today is to go out and celebrate 2 birthdays tonight Both of my friends are turning 25 early next month, quarter of a century old… scary. That will be me soon.

My friends and I went on our last skiing, snowboarding, and tubing trip of the season this past weekend. It rained and snowed the day before we went and the morning of but we still had a lot of fun The weather was nice by the time we hit the slopes, it was pretty warm as well. It was the first time for 2 of my friends so we decided that it was better to stay on the bunny slopes for most of the time instead of taking any lifts I can’t wait to go again next season, I hope I have more opportunities to go.

Just a reminder for myself and others to “spring forward” tomorrow night, not looking forward to losing an hour of sleep but it happens once a year. The forecast tomorrow is rain and flooding in some areas, I hope it isn’t bad I plan to clean in the morning and spend the rest of the the day at a friend’s place, just hanging out. We’re planning a cruise for mid or early September since most of us have never been on one It will be my first time so I’m looking forward to it. There will be about 20 of us going together, give or take. I have to start saving for the cost of the airfare and cruise.

Everyone around me has some form of influenza, I’m lucky that I haven’t caught it from anyone yet. A couple of my friends went on a retreat 2 weeks ago and they all came back with the flu, around 15 of my friends went on a boarding trip and they all came back with the flu, and 2 out of my 3 co-workers have the flu Something has definitely been going around lately. Oh, my roommates have also been sick the last week or so. I hope I don’t catch anything from anyone and get sick A few of my friends went to the doctor’s to get checked and they were told that they have a new strain of the flu, which therefore, could not have been prevented with a flu vaccination. Well, of course it’s possible to get the flu even if one was vaccinated but yeah, I hope this doesn’t go around much longer and that everyone around me gets well soon.

My friends and I are planning another skiing, snowboarding, and tubing trip a week or so from now It will be our last one before the season is over so hopefully the weather permits us to go and spend a day one the slopes. If there is no black ice this time around, I might give snowboarding a try but I’ll have to wait and see We got more snow, followed by rain, this past week… more snow is good.
